Samantha is a self-taught oil painter currently based in Munich, Germany. She is a Philosophy and Sociology graduate of The University of Hong Kong and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Since July 2020, she has been pursuing her childhood dream of becoming a professional artist. Her specialization is in traditional drawing and painting, using oil paints as her main media. Having lived in eight cities in three different countries, Samantha became interested in people, culture, and the interaction between individuals and the wider society. The subjects and themes of her artworks are often inspired by philosophical and psychological concepts. Through her works, she aims to capture the complex relationship between our internal and external experiences. In addition to her personal projects, Samantha works with clients on private commissions as well as with art galleries and other artists in exhibiting artworks in Hong Kong and Germany.
